 Day 01: Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, our chauffeur will greet you warmly and transfer you to Dambulla. We’ll stop at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage along the way to witness adorable baby elephants being fed. Our journey continues with a visit to the renowned Cave Temple, boasting 80 ancient caves adorned with vibrant paintings and Buddha statues dating back to the 2nd century BC.

Following a delicious lunch, we’ll head to Sigiriya and spend the night. In the evening, immerse yourself in Sri Lankan culture with a Sigiriya Village Tour featuring tropical fruit tastings and authentic village experiences.

 Day 02: As dawn breaks, embark on a journey to the awe-inspiring Sigiriya Lion’s Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its splendor in Sri Lanka. Ascend 1,200 steps to the summit for a breathtaking panoramic vista of the picturesque countryside—an endeavor well worth exerting. Below lies a captivating scene of water gardens adorned with ancient portraits of maidens and temple offerings etched into the rock walls.

For a quieter alternative with equally stunning views, venture to Pidurangala Rock, offering solitude amidst its historic cave complex and a vantage point overlooking the iconic Sigiriya rock. Capture the sunrise for a truly unique experience and unforgettable photographs.

In the afternoon, opt for a safari tour at Minneriya National Park to witness majestic creatures such as wild elephants, sambar deer, and elusive leopards thriving in their natural habitat. Alternatively, unwind at your leisure in the comfort of the hotel.

Next, venture to Kandy, the cultural heart of the country. Explore the revered Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, steeped in legend and significance. Then, admire panoramic views from a Kandy viewpoint before delving into local arts at a batik-making and wood-carving center. Dive into the world of gem extraction at a gem museum or opt for a serene stroll through the Royal Botanical Garden.

Optional activities include witnessing a vibrant cultural dance show or simply unwinding with a romantic city tour. Conclude your day with a relaxing stay at a hotel in Kandy, enveloped in the tranquility of nature.

Day 04: Following a satisfying breakfast in Kandy, we embark on a scenic journey through the countryside en route to Ambuluwawa, a unique biodiversity complex serving Sri Lanka’s inaugural multi-religious center. At this Trigonometrical Station, one encounters a striking array of religious structures, including a towering Buddhist stupa, Hindu Kovil, Muslim Mosque, and Christian Church. Ascending Ambuluwawa rewards with breathtaking vistas, occasionally shrouded in mist but ultimately revealing unparalleled views of Sri Pada, Knuckles Mountain Range, and Piduruthalagala Mountain.

Next, we proceed to Nuwara Eliya, pausing for visits to a renowned tea factory and the majestic Ramboda Waterfalls. This evening offers leisure time to explore the charming town, once a favored British hill station. It is known affectionately as ‘Little England’ for its colonial architecture, lush parks, and recreational amenities, including a golf club and racecourse.

As night falls, unwind with a comforting cup of Ceylon tea and retire to the comforts of our hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 05: As the mist swirls around us, we rise early to embark on our journey to Horton Plains. Nestled over 2000 meters above sea level, this vast plateau, intertwined with Peak Wilderness, is Sri Lanka’s primary watershed for its significant rivers. The landscape, adorned with rolling grasslands, beckons exploration by foot. Guided through this picturesque terrain, we anticipate sightings of wildlife such as the majestic Sambur and the elusive Purple-Faced monkey. Our adventure culminates at ‘World’s End,’ a breathtaking cliff where the earth plunges 1050 meters below.

In the evening, we engage in friendly conversations with the locals, savoring cups of renowned Ceylon tea amidst the refreshing climate. Later, we glide across Gregory Lake, admiring the sunset, and stroll through Victoria Park, a haven of vibrant flowers and lush greenery.

Upon arrival in Ella, marvel at picturesque waterfalls and vintage train stations. This tranquil village offers panoramic views of the plains below from the enchanting Ella Gap. Walk along the iconic Nine Arch Bridge and venture to the edge of the magnificent Diyaluma Falls, where you can immerse yourself in the refreshing waters, feeling like you’re in an infinite pool, all courtesy of nature’s magic.

Later, enjoy leisure time exploring the sacred grounds of Katharagama Temple, dedicated to the Buddhist guardian deity Kataragama and Hindu War God Murugan. The remainder of the day offers relaxation at the hotel.

Day 08: Following breakfast, our journey leads us to the enchanting southwest coast of Mirissa, renowned for its romantic ambiance. Nestled amidst captivating landscapes, this destination offers a serene escape from everyday life. Spend your days basking in the allure of golden sands kissed by world-class waves, with playful turtles gracing the crystal-clear waters. As the day unfolds, don’t miss the opportunity to visit the picturesque Coconut Tree Hill, a stunning vista that epitomizes coastal beauty. Day 12: Prepare to depart the hotel as your Sri Lankan adventure draws closer. Take advantage of some final moments for souvenir shopping.
