 Day 01: Meet at the airport and head to Sigiriya for the Special Sri Lanka Wildlife Tour. Depending on time, visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage or go on an elephant safari at Minneriya National Park. Overnight in Sigiriya, a serene retreat in the heart of Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle.

Day 02: Visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress, known for the Lion Staircase and ancient gardens. Explore the Mirror Wall and frescos of heavenly maidens. Later, visit Kaudulla National Park to see diverse wildlife, including around 200 wild elephants and 435 species of endemic birds. Overnight in Sigiriya.

Day 03: Stop at Knuckles Mountain Range, a conservation area with relict flora and fauna. Explore the Knuckles National Heritage and Wilderness Area, home to rare species and breathtaking scenery. The range hosts over 200 bird species, including 15 endemics. Enjoy hiking and mountain bike trails through forests, waterfalls, and traditional villages. Optionally, attend a cultural show in Kandy in the evening. Overnight in Kandy.

Day 04: Visit Udawatta Kele Sanctuary, a historic forest reserve with a variety of flora and fauna. Known as “the garden above the royal palace,” it’s a natural paradise with hardwood trees, giant bamboo, birds, and playful monkeys. Popular for birdwatching, the park features species like parakeets, black-crested bulbul, and barbets. Overnight in Kandy.

Day 05: En route to the South Coast, pass through Nuwara Eliya and Ella, known for tea plantations and scenic viewpoints. Optionally, observe the process of making Ceylon Tea. In the afternoon, reach Udawalawe National Park, known for Sri Lankan elephants and diverse wildlife like leopards, water buffalos, and crocodiles. Enjoy the sight of elephants bathing and other unique experiences. Overnight in Yala.

Day 06: Embark on an early morning safari at Yala National Park, known for excellent leopard sightings. Enjoy a 4WD jeep safari with a guide. Yala has one of the highest leopard densities globally, offering great photographic opportunities. Spot other animals like bears, monkeys, wild boar, and numerous bird species. In the afternoon, choose another safari or relax by the pool observing wildlife. Overnight in Yala.

Day 07: Check out and drive along the South- and West Coast to the airport or your next destination in Sri Lanka. Optionally, continue with other Sri Lanka Tours or Holiday Packages. End of the Sri Lanka Wildlife Tour Package.
