Nadi

Day 01: Hello! Greetings from Fiji! Your journey kicks off on Viti Levu, Fiji’s main island. Upon arrival at Nadi International Airport, transfer to your hotel on the outskirts of town. Join us for a welcome meeting and evening drinks at 6 pm, where you’ll meet your local guide and fellow travelers. If you’re early, explore the vibrant hues of the Sri Siva Subramaniya Swami Hindu Temple or Nadi Temple. Indulge in the island’s exotic fruits at the Nadi or Namaka Produce Market, showcasing not only familiar tropical delights like mangoes and pineapples but also unique ones like pomelo, rose apple, and soursop, available Monday to Sunday. Following the meeting, savor the evening at a beachside restaurant or in Nadi Town.

Day 02: Embark on a unique journey south of Nadi after your morning meal, exploring the captivating Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park. Join a 4 km ranger-led stroll through these extraordinary dunes, ranging from 20 to 60 m in height, formed over millions of years. Marvel at the panoramic views of the Coral Coast from the sandy peaks. Uncover pottery relics dating back 2600 years and an ancient burial site, offering insights into Fiji’s early inhabitants. Conclude the day at Pacific Harbour, where relaxation by the pool or along Rovodrau Bay awaits. Embrace the island vibes – you’re on Fiji time now!

Day 03: Gear up for an incredible rafting experience in Fiji’s highlands at Upper Navua Gorge. Ride down rapids naturally carved through the island’s volcanic rock interior, surrounded by towering gorge walls, dense rainforest, and dozens of waterfalls. The combination of the dipping parts of the river and biological diversity makes this Fiji’s best spot for rafting. Stop at a lunch spot along the way to get a good feel for the rainforest terrain. After, return to Pacific Harbour for another night in your beachside surroundings.

Day 04: Embark on a post-breakfast adventure from the resort to Suva, Fiji’s capital. Explore the vibrant Suva market and city center at your leisure. Immerse yourself in Fiji’s rich history with a guided tour of the Fiji Museum, housing artifacts dating back 3700 years. Spend the afternoon on a brief hike in Colo-i-Suva Forest Park, discovering palm-fringed freshwater pools for a rejuvenating swim. Keep an eye out for local birdlife, including barking pigeons and musk parrots. Conclude the day by enjoying the soothing sounds of the rainforest near the river at your lodge accommodation on the park’s outskirts.

Day 05: Explore Nabalesere village this morning, immersing yourself in the rich traditions of Fijian life. In the province of Ra, the locals greet with a unique ‘Yadra!’ instead of the common ‘Bula!’. Your guide will assist in presenting a sevusevu, a ceremonial gift like kava root, to the village chief, fostering community acceptance. While agriculture sustains many Fijian communities, this collaboration opens new income streams. Venture on a 1.5-km hike to the stunning Savulelele Waterfall, cascading 50 meters. Return for a village lunch, enjoy hot lemon leaf tea, and then head to the coast. A short boat ride to Nananu-i-Ra Island awaits, where you’ll spend the night in charming beachside cottages.

Day 06: Experience the enchanting morning vibes of Nananu-i-Ra Island today. Embrace the sunrise serenity at the beach or take a refreshing dip in the South Pacific. Post-breakfast, embark on an underwater adventure with your companions, discovering vibrant tropical fish while snorkeling. Later, wander along the island’s ridgeline for breathtaking panoramic vistas. In the afternoon, venture to Naga village, offering a sevusevu as a gesture of welcome. Explore the lush food gardens and partake in a communal dinner with the friendly locals. Your night will be spent in the cozy community hall of the village.

Day 07: Strap on your hiking boots for an unforgettable 11-km trek through Fiji’s lush landscapes, ending in the charming Nubutautau village. Break up the journey with a delicious lunch and a refreshing swim by the picturesque Sigatoka River. As the sun sets, immerse yourself in the heart of the island, surrounded by small farms, green hills, and a thriving rainforest. Connect with the locals and savor the beauty of a radiant sunset during your overnight stay in the village.

Day 08: Embark on a cultural journey this morning, exploring the village and delving into 19th-century regional history, narrated through the tales of missionary Rev Baker. For the adventurous, take an optional riverside stroll and a 4WD expedition along the scenic ridgeline between Fiji’s Sigatoka and Ba rivers. Conclude your day with lunch at a local café in Nadi, and if you crave more, extend your stay in Nadi or discover the enchanting Mamanuca or Yasawa islands.
