Day 01: Adventure awaits in the desert! Our journey kicks off heading east through the Fraser Valley for a brief exploration of a West Coast rainforest at Bridal Veil Falls. We’ll then cross the Coastal Mountains to enjoy a midday pause at Manning Park’s Lightning Lake. The journey continues to the Okanagan’s semi-arid landscapes for paddle boarding on the stunning Skaha Lake. The day concludes with a unique dining experience at Westbank’s Kekuli Café, savoring Indigenous dishes before we rest at Lake Okanagan in Kelowna.
Day 02: Today, we’re ambitiously traversing three mountain ranges and exploring four National Parks en route to Banff! Our journey includes a stop in Revelstoke for optional lake kayaking or mountain viewing. Then, we’ll journey into the Rockies, pass through Kicking Horse Pass into Alberta, and enter Banff National Park. Our day ends in the charming, historic town of Banff, nestled among the mountains.
Day 03: Let’s explore the renowned blue lakes! Head to Lake Louise and catch Moraine Lake when it’s open, then journey along the Icefields Parkway for stunning vistas of sharp mountains, glaciers, wild rivers, and azure lakes. Watch out for wildlife during our visits to Crowfoot Glacier, Peyto Lake (our top pick), and Mistaya Canyon, before settling into our cozy hostel by Rampart Creek. Enjoy the natural beauty with a swim, a sauna session, and maybe a starlit campfire.
Day 04: Experience the wonders of Jasper National Park today! Our journey begins with a breathtaking stop at Big Bend lookout, offering panoramic vistas of the U-shaped North Saskatchewan River Valley. Prepare for adventure as we venture to the Columbia Icefield, spanning 325 square kilometers and boasting the majestic Athabasca Glacier (pending conditions). Following this, we’ll explore Maligne Canyon, Jasper’s deepest gorge, navigating its awe-inspiring bridges. Finally, we’ll reach Jasper Townsite, where adrenaline junkies can opt for a thrilling guided mountain biking tour upon arrival.
Day 05: Our journey begins with a visit to Athabasca Falls, renowned for its breathtaking beauty and immense power! Next, we’ll marvel at mountain goats clinging effortlessly at the Goats and Glaciers viewpoint. Then, we’ll bask in the scenic beauty of Waterfowl Lakes, with the majestic Mount Chephren as our backdrop, named after an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh. Afterward, we’ll return to Banff for a delightful group dinner. Once satisfied, you’re free to explore the vibrant Banff nightlife or unwind at the Banff Upper Hot Springs. Who can resist a luxurious soak in nature’s giant bathtub?
Day 06: Today is a blank canvas awaiting your brushstrokes! Embrace the freedom amidst the majestic Rocky Mountains! Explore hiking trails, soak in the beauty of Banff, or opt for thrilling adventures like whitewater rafting, canoeing, or mountain biking at an additional charge. Seize the day!
Day 07: Regrettably bidding farewell to the Rockies, our journey concludes with a flourish as we explore the stunning vistas of Western Canada. Our itinerary includes stops at the awe-inspiring Takakkaw Falls (seasonal), the unspoiled Emerald Lake, and the striking Natural Bridge. Upon reaching the Okanagan Valley, we’ll capture a photo at the breathtaking Kalamalka Lake viewpoint. Here, you’ll discover serene sandy beaches alongside pristine lakes, offering an array of fun-filled activities. As night falls, downtown Kelowna awaits with its vibrant array of bars and nightclubs, adding zest to this university city’s charm!
Day 08: On our final day, we’ll climb over a high mountain pass, travel along the Nicola Valley, and enter the Fraser Canyon. Our main destination of the day is Tuckkwiowhum Village, an Indigenous heritage site, where we’ll enjoy a guided tour and interact with a Traditional Knowledge Keeper. We’ll then continue down the canyon to Hope, where we’ll explore the Othello Tunnels on a magical walk across bridges and through old train tunnels that cut through solid granite walls! The finale is near – we’ll finish in Vancouver where it’s all hugs and Insta handle swapping as you say goodbye to your Moose mates and head home – but armed with a whole bunch of amazing adventures to talk about!
