 Day 01: Embarking from the bustling city, we venture towards the Coromandel Peninsula, a stunning haven boasting exquisite beaches and lush rainforests. The journey unfolds with breathtaking scenery as the coastal road winds its way, revealing crystal-clear waters. Be prepared to capture awe-inspiring sights! Among its highlights is the renowned Hot Water Beach, drawing crowds yearly to craft its private hot springs. If timings align, we’ll eagerly seize the opportunity with buckets and shovels in hand! Arriving with ample time, your guide will lead exploration. Whether lounging on sandy shores or soaking up the atmosphere, Coromandel awaits.

Day 02: Embark on a morning stroll along the rugged cliffs leading to Cathedral Cove, a picturesque gem made famous by the Chronicles of Narnia. Marvel at its pristine beaches and towering rock formations, a beloved attraction in the Coromandel. Alternatively, seize the opportunity for a guided kayak excursion, exploring the coastline from a unique perspective, perhaps joined by playful dolphins. Later, venture towards Rotorua, fondly dubbed “Rotovegas,” making a stop in Matamata, renowned as the enchanting Hobbiton. Delight in a guided tour of the iconic movie set, complete with quaint Hobbit Holes and a refreshing stop at the Green Dragon Inn. Day 03: Today offers a chance to explore the wonders of Rotorua and its surroundings. Consult your guide for top recommendations on free attractions, like the captivating mud pools of Kuirau Park. For those seeking excitement, consider conquering the highest commercial waterfall drop at Kaituna River through thrilling rafting adventures. Alternatively, experience the adrenaline rush of ZORBing down grassy slopes or embark on a 3-hour eco-canopy adventure in ancient forests, featuring ziplines and swing bridges. Another option is a guided kayak excursion across scenic Lake Rotoiti to the secluded Manupirua Springs Hot Pools, where you can indulge in a Kiwi BBQ Dinner while enjoying a sunset paddle and a glimpse of glow worm caves afterward.

Day 04: Today, we explore the Te Puia Māori Village, delving into Māori history and culture. Witness the majestic Pohutu Geyser, marvel at mud pools, and encounter kiwi birds up close. Later, we venture to Kohutapu Lodge in Murupara for a deep dive into Māori traditions. Learn the iconic haka dance, craft a dinner plate from flax, and savor a traditional hāngi meal cooked in an underground oven, filling your belly with tender meats and flavorful vegetables. Notably, a significant portion of the proceeds supports the local community. Please be advised that private accommodation upgrades are unavailable tonight due to limited availability.

Day 05: Embark on a quick journey to Taupō, filled with intriguing sights like mud pools and roaring rapids. With your expert Haka guide leading the way, every highlight is within reach. Taupō, nestled by a picturesque lake with towering mountains, offers endless excitement. Whether you fancy a daring bungy jump, a skydiving adventure, or a serene sunset cruise, the options are boundless. For a more laid-back evening, hop on a boat to admire Māori rock carvings. However you decide to spend your day, it promises to be unforgettable.

Day 06: Experience a day in Taupō, where you can choose between serene lakeside calmness or boundless adrenaline-fueled adventures. Whether you prefer a tranquil stroll or heart-pumping activities, Taupō has something for everyone. Embark on the renowned Tongariro Crossing, a challenging yet rewarding hike showcasing breathtaking alpine scenery. For thrill-seekers, skydiving or bungy jumping over the majestic lake and river offers unforgettable experiences. Additionally, enjoy quad biking, lake cruises to admire Māori rock carvings, lakeside hikes, mountain biking, and relaxing in local geothermal pools. Taupō promises an unforgettable blend of nature and excitement.

Day 07: The journey from Taupō to Wellington is a lengthy one, but it offers breathtaking scenery. Along the Desert Road, separating the Rangipo Desert, characterized by its sparse vegetation due to poor soil and harsh winds, you’ll encounter Mount Ruapehu, Mount Tongariro, and the famous Mount Ngauruhoe, also known as Mount Doom from Lord of the Rings. Across the road lies the lesser-known Kaimanawa Range, where wild horses occasionally roam. Arriving in Wellington, there’s time for cinephiles to visit Weta Workshop, renowned for its work on Lord of the Rings and Avatar. Wellington’s vibrant nightlife and culinary scene, especially its craft beer offerings, await you for an unforgettable evening. While the tour officially ends at 8 pm in Wellington, accommodation for the night is included.
