Day 02: Embark on a journey to Syracuse, nestled beside the Ionian Sea, a gem that once shone in the realms of Greek and Roman antiquity. Upon your arrival, immerse yourself in a culinary workshop to master the art of crafting Arancini, a beloved Sicilian delicacy, perfect for a midday treat. Then, join a guided tour led by an expert CEO, as you wander through the historic heart of the city, admiring its baroque squares and ancient, winding alleyways.
Day 03: Spend an entire day at no cost in Syracuse. Choose to explore the remarkable Neapolis Archaeological Park or journey to the nearby city of Noto, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its exquisite baroque structures crafted from distinctive golden limestone.
Day 04: Embark on a journey to the elegant city of Ragusa, followed by an excursion to the ancient, elevated town of Piazza Armerina. Explore the globally renowned assortment of Roman mosaics at Villa Romana del Casale, famed for their exceptional preservation “in situ” – right where they were originally placed. Marvel at intricate mosaic depictions of hunting, fishing, and athletic endeavors. Then, set off for Agrigento to continue your adventure.
Day 05: Embark on an enlightening journey through Sicily’s renowned Valley of the Temples. Discover the rich past of its seven ancient temples, perched beneath Agrigento. Your adventure includes a visit to Trapani with a detour to Marsala, where you’ll witness some of Europe’s most historic salt flats.
Day 06: Take advantage of a complimentary day to discover Trapani and its surrounding areas. Consider a delightful boat trip around the serene Egadi Islands, a nature hike in a reserve teeming with native wildlife and plants, or a cable car ride to visit the historic, fortified town of Erice.
Day 07: Journey to Monreale and explore the Monreale Cathedral, a 12th-century masterpiece adorned with golden mosaics. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Conca d’Oro and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Then, head to Palermo for a guided tour led by our knowledgeable CEO upon arrival.
