Day 01: Greetings in Hanoi, Vietnam! Your arrival day is flexible, with an airport pick-up by a Legend Travel Group car driver. They’ll transport you to your hotel, leaving the rest of the day for relaxation or exploring the city. Airport transfer is covered, ensuring a hassle-free start to your adventure. Enjoy your overnight stay in Hanoi!
Day 02:
6:30-7:00 am: Our driver will pick you up in Hanoi for the journey to Sapa. Enjoy a short break before reaching Lao Cai City.
10:00 am: Arrive in Lao Cai City, continue to Sapa, and marvel at the traditional costumes of the Hmong, Dzao, and Tay ethnic people. After a welcome drink and itinerary briefing, savor local Vietnamese dishes for lunch before checking into the hotel.
2:30 pm: Hike downhill to Cat Cat village, experiencing breathtaking views of Muong Hoa Valley and Fansipan. Explore Black H’mong’s stilt houses, witness traditional activities, and visit the picturesque Cat Cat Waterfall.
5:00 pm: Return to Sapa for dinner. Enjoy free time to explore Sapa Market and the town. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03:
7:30 am – Have breakfast at the hotel.
8:00 am – Trek from Sapa to explore Muong Hoa Valley. Walk through picturesque rice terraces to Lao Chai village, observing the daily life of the Black Hmong people.
10:30 am – Visit Ta Van village influenced by Chinese culture. Take a bus back to Sapa.
1:30 pm – Enjoy free time in Sapa for relaxation.
2:15 pm – Board a bus for the return journey to Hanoi.
8:45 – 9:15 pm – Arrive in Hanoi, check-in, and stay overnight. (The exact arrival time depends on traffic conditions.)
Day 04: Indulge in a delightful hotel breakfast before embarking on a guided exploration of Hanoi. Begin at Tran Quoc Pagoda on Golden Fish Island, the city’s oldest pagoda built in the 6th century. Explore the Ho Chi Minh complex, including a visit to the unique One Pillar Pagoda. Discover the diverse culture of Vietnam’s ethnic groups at the Vietnam Ethnology Museum or the Women’s Museum if it’s a Monday. Savor Vietnamese cuisine at our restaurant for lunch.
Continue your tour at the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, established in the 11th century. Conclude the day with a visit to Hoa Lo Prison, known as the “Hanoi Hilton” during the Vietnam War. After an enriching day, return to the hotel for check-in and a leisurely overnight stay in Hanoi.
Day 05: After breakfast, our mini-van/bus will pick you up between 8:30 am to 9:00 am for your journey to Halong City. Enjoy a 3.5-hour drive through picturesque countryside and rice paddies. Upon arrival at the port, board an authentic Chinese Junk for a breathtaking cruise through Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch onboard will feature fresh seafood. Explore “the Amazing cave,” swim in emerald waters, and anchor in a tranquil area for the night. Enjoy dinner, witness the sunset, and choose to swim or relax under the stars on the top deck. Spend the night surrounded by the magic of Halong Bay.
Day 06: Wake up early to catch a stunning sunrise and savor breakfast on the boat amid a breathtaking archipelago. Cruise through numerous islands, capturing remarkable photos. Visit a floating fishing village to hear tales of fishermen’s lives. Lunch on the boat, then return to Halong City pier, heading back to Hanoi by 4:00 pm. A driver will take you to the airport for your Hoi An flight.
Upon Hoi An arrival, our staff will pick you up, and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy free time exploring the ancient town, strolling its streets, trying local delicacies, or shopping for souvenirs. Overnight in Hoi An Ancient Town.
Day 07: Embark on a full-day journey to Hoi An, the historic trading center once known as “Faifo.” Explore a temple with Chinese and Japanese influences, a pagoda dedicated to sailors, and a 1700s chapel. Visit the Sa Huynh Museum near the Japanese Covered Bridge for insights into Hoi An’s early history. Enjoy a boat trip to Kim Bong Village to witness traditional woodworkers and shipbuilders. Conclude the day with a leisurely exploration of Hoi An Ancient Town. Overnight stay in Hoi An.
Day 08: After breakfast, depart at 8:00 am to visit My Son, a UNESCO World Heritage site 50 km southwest of Hoi An. Explore the ancient Cham capital with its red brick towers and sanctuaries dating back to the 7th-13th centuries. Discover the lush valley, intricate carvings, and sculptures showcasing Cham civilization. Return to Hoi An for lunch around 1:00 pm. In the afternoon, enjoy free time for shopping or exploring the town’s lantern-lit streets, tailor shops, and markets. The day concludes with an overnight stay in Hoi An.
Day 09: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before a 9:00 am pickup by Legend Travel Group for your journey to Hue City. En route, visit Cham Museum and Ngu Hanh Son Mountain in Da Nang (tickets at your expense). Continue to Hai Van Pass for breathtaking views, a brief stop at Lang Co Beach, and reach Hue City by afternoon. Check-in, explore the imperial city, and stay overnight in Hue.
Day 10: After breakfast, cruise along the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, the oldest in Hue. Enjoy picturesque views and insights from your guide. Explore Emperor Khai Dinh and Tu Duc’s mausoleums. Indulge in traditional Vietnamese cuisine at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit the UNESCO-listed Imperial Citadel and the Purple Forbidden City. Explore Thuy Xuan incense-making village and Dong Ba market for souvenirs. Return to your hotel for a restful night, anticipating more adventures tomorrow.
Day 11: After breakfast in Hue City, explore at your leisure until transferring to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, you’ll be picked up and taken to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy the rest of the day exploring the vibrant city before spending the night at your hotel.
Day 12: Start your day with breakfast at the hotel, then dive into the highlights of Ho Chi Minh City. Visit the 19th-century Notre Dame Cathedral, an impressive example of neo-Romanesque architecture. Explore the historic Central Post Office, designed by Gustave Eiffel, known for its intricate maps and beautiful interior. Continue to the Reunification Palace, a symbol of South Vietnam’s past.
After a local restaurant lunch, head to the renowned Cu Chi Tunnels in the afternoon. These tunnels, spanning over 200km, were crucial during the Vietnam War, serving as underground cities with trap doors, living spaces, and more. Gain insights into their construction and harsh conditions, with opportunities to sample local wartime cuisine and experience the tunnels firsthand.
Return to your Ho Chi Minh City hotel for a comfortable overnight stay after the tour. The distance to Cu Chi Tunnels is approximately 75 km, taking about 1.5 hours by car.
Day 13: After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at 8:00 am for a journey to My Tho, the capital of Tien Giang Province, situated 75 kilometers southeast of Ho Chi Minh City along the Mekong River. Explore islands famous for traditional crafts like coconut candy and bee farms. Visit the ancient Vinh Trang Pagoda, the oldest in the Mekong Delta. Conclude the tour by returning to your Ho Chi Minh City hotel for an overnight stay.
