 Day 01: Join your adventure leader and group at 10 am for a briefing and itinerary overview. Start with a tour of Asakusa District, including a visit to the historic Sensō-Ji temple. Enjoy fresh sashimi for lunch at Tokyo’s Tsukiji Outer Market. In the afternoon, admire stunning city views from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and delve into its history. The evening offers optional activities like Japanese baseball at a batting cage or relaxing in a traditional bathhouse.

Day 02: Begin your morning learning sushi-making from an expert chef, then taste your creations. Next, explore Akihabara’s Anime and Manga culture, including a visit to the Tokyo Anime Center. Enjoy a ‘Made in Tokyo’ experience at a local maid cafe. End your day experiencing the vibrant nightlife of Golden Gai.

Day 03: Visit the Tokyo Imperial Palace to gain insights into Japan’s Imperial Family. Later, explore Harajuku, Tokyo’s fashion hub, and the Meiji Shrine in Shibuya. Experience the bustling energy at Shibuya’s world’s busiest, renowned crossing. Optionally, enjoy a unique experience at Cat Café MoCHA in Shibuya.

Day 04: Start your morning in Tokyo’s famous Odaiba district, exploring its stunning cityscapes and urban sights. Visit Joy Polis, Sega’s indoor amusement park, and enjoy your complimentary ride pass. Regroup at the ‘Love Sign’ near Aqua City, then stroll to view the Gundam Statue. Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore independently for the rest of the day.

Day 05: Savor a tasty breakfast before taking a train to Kamakura. Upon arrival, explore various attractions using our optional activities guide, like unwinding at the beach with a surfboard rental (3000 JPY/day) or delving into history at local shrines, including Kotoku-in with its Great Buddha. Later, enjoy a hike to the Zeniarai Benzaiten Ugafuku Shrine.

Day 06: Today, you’ll journey to Hakone by train and bus, followed by a hike along Old Tokaido and a lunch break in Moto-Hakone. Experience a scenic pirate ship ride across Lake Ashi, with views of Mount Fuji, then ride a cable car to Owakudani to sample black eggs, believed to extend life by three years. Relax later in an outdoor Onsen bath (note: tattoos might restrict entry, more info at Japan-Tattoo). The day concludes with donning a kimono and learning about Sake, the traditional Japanese rice wine.

Day 07: Travel to Kyoto on a bullet train, swiftly covering 273 miles in about two hours. Once you’ve checked into your hotel, head to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kiyomizu Temple, a renowned Buddhist landmark. Spend leisure time in the Gion area, exploring Pontocho Alley in the Geisha District. In the evening, either discover Kyoto’s city center or unwind at the hostel with your group.

Day 08: Get ready for an action-packed day! Start with a scenic Hozugawa River cruise, then explore the Arashiyama Monkey Park and enjoy the breathtaking view at Togetsukyo Bridge. After an optional lunch, visit the stunning Tenryu-Ji Temple and take a hike through the enchanting Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. Wrap up the day in Kyoto with a calligraphy class and a lively evening of karaoke. Let your inner rockstar shine!

Day 09: Enjoy your free day exploring the Philosopher’s Path with its majestic temples or visit Nara’s Todaiji Temple and Deer Park. Don’t miss the Fushimi Inari Shrine with its thousands of red torii gates in the southern part of Kyoto.

Day 10: Start your day with an early visit to Kinkaku-ji’s Golden Pavilion for a meditation session with a Buddhist monk. Cycle through the Imperial Palace grounds, then catch a bullet train to Hiroshima in the evening.

Day 11: Explore the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum to delve into World War II history and the impact of the first atomic bomb on the city. Then, take a train and ferry to Miyajima Island, where the famous Itsukushima Shrine awaits on stilts. Return to your hotel in the afternoon and savor a leisurely evening on your own.

Day 12: Board a high-speed train to Osaka today, arriving in time for lunch in Nanba or Shinsaibashi. Explore Osaka Castle’s grounds after a short train ride. Enjoy an ultimate shopping spree in Shinsaibashi, and in the evening, take on the challenge of becoming The Dragon Trip Arcade Challenge Champion in Osaka’s vibrant nightlife. Rest for the night at a quintessentially Japanese capsule hotel.

Day 13: Bid farewell to your Dragon Tripper companions after breakfast and hop on a bullet train back to Tokyo, concluding or extending your journey!
