 Day 01: Drive Time: 2 hours
Hiking Distance: 3.5-6.5 miles
Elevation Gain/Loss: 400-800 feet
Explore Chugach State Park’s forests on a two-hour drive from Anchorage, rich in wildlife. Retreat to Hatcher Pass or Wasilla Lake for a cozy stay, with a chance to witness the awe-inspiring aurora borealis in favourable conditions.

Day 02: Drive Time: minimal
Hiking Distance: 3-8 miles
Elevation Gain/Loss: 1000 feet
Hiking from Hatcher Pass Lodge to Independence Mine, a glimpse into 1800s miner life. After lunch, explore the snow-covered Gold Mint Trail, resembling the Himalayas. Dinner awaits, and, weather permitting, the chance to witness the Northern Lights over Hatcher Pass.

Day 03: Drive Time: 2 hours
Hiking Distance: 4-6.5 miles
Elevation Gain/Loss: 500-800 feet
Before leaving Hatcher Pass, a final hike to Glacier Pass and Reed Lakes for breathtaking mountain views. Northbound along the Talkeetna Range, we reach Talkeetna for the night, offering a potential glimpse of Mount Denali. A delightful meal, hot drinks, and rest await us for tomorrow’s adventure.

Day 04: Drive Time: 2 hours
Hiking Distance: 5-7 miles
Elevation Gain/Loss: 800-1300 feet
Starting the day with a hot breakfast, we head to Denali State Park. Look out for moose on the drive. Our snowshoe trek to Curry Ridge offers stunning views of Denali. After a day on Curry Ridge, we return to Talkeetna for a hot dinner, warm drinks, and a chance to see the Northern Lights.

Day 05: Drive Time: 6 hours
Hiking Distance: 4 miles
Elevation Gain/Loss: 700 feet
Today, we venture into the Alaska Range and explore Denali National Park. Snowshoeing up Mount Healy, we aim for views of Denali and spot wildlife. In Fairbanks, our night is at Chena River Hot Springs, offering a chance to see the Northern Lights. After dinner, we’ll head out to enjoy the lights in the night sky.

Day 06: Drive Time: 2 hours
Hiking Distance: 4-6 miles
Elevation Gain/Loss: 500-800 feet
On our last day, we’ll embark on a unique snowshoe hike along Angel Creek, a pristine winter wonderland in the Chena River Valley. Known for Northern Lights viewing, we’ll explore frozen reek beds and capture the essence of Alaska before concluding our unforgettable adventure in Fairbanks.
