Day 01: Embark on an extraordinary journey to Srinagar, where Swastik India Journeys awaits your arrival. After a warm welcome, you’ll be seamlessly transferred to a houseboat or hotel. Explore the enchanting paradise with a half-day tour of the renowned Mughal Gardens – Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh, both crafted during the Mughal era in Kashmir. Enjoy a delightful hot lunch at the houseboat and later, experience the beauty of Dal Lake with a tranquil Shikara ride in the afternoon. Day 02: Embark on a stunning journey to Gulmarg, Kashmir’s enchanting hill station, renowned for its scenic drive and boasting the world’s highest golf course in summer. In winter, thrill-seekers can indulge in exhilarating adventure skiing. Take in the breathtaking beauty of nature with a Gondola ride from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg. Return to Srinagar for an overnight stay on a houseboat.
Day 03: Embark on an invigorating journey after a delightful morning tea and breakfast. Drive through one of the world’s most breathtaking routes, from Srinagar to Leh via Kargil. The road meanders through picturesque villages, reaching the scenic Sonmarg at 2740 meters, surrounded by lush green fields. Beyond Sonmarg, the terrain becomes rugged and wet, leading to the snow-covered Zojila Pass at 3527 meters, the gateway to Ladakh. The drive continues to Drass, the second coldest inhabited place globally, where we pause for refreshments and passport checks. A few more hours on the road bring us to Kargil at 2710 meters, marking the midpoint to Leh. Rest for the night at a hotel.
Day 04: Embark on a scenic journey, transitioning from lush green valleys to the stark beauty of Ladakh’s mountains. Ascend passes, and encounters the ancient Buddhist village of Mulbek with its colossal Maitreya Buddha statue. Traverse the highest pass, Fotula (4166 m), to reach Lamayuru village, where the oldest monastery awaits. Drive through Ladakh’s lower valleys, passing by Basgo and Nimu villages with views of the Zanskar River merging into the Indus. Finally, arrive in Leh (3500 m) for an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05: Explore Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, and the vibrant Leh market post-lunch. The Shanti Stupa, a serene hilltop created by Japanese monks for global harmony, boasts colorful reliefs and a white-spired top. Wander through Leh Palace, a 17th-century gem in Tibetan style. Enjoy an evening in the local market for shopping and savoring local delicacies. Stay overnight in Leh.
Day 06: Embark on a morning journey to the enchanting Nubra Valley through the renowned Khardungla pass, the world’s highest motorable road at 18,380 ft. Navigate the winding trail to reach Hundar village. Check into Nature’s Nest North camp upon arrival. Spend the afternoon marveling at the dunes and encountering double-humped camels. Stay overnight at the camp or hotel.
Day 07: Embark on a scenic morning journey to Turtuk village, nestled 115 km from Nubra Valley. The drive takes approximately 3 to 4 hours. With a population of just 4000, Turtuk was once under Pakistan, embracing the Baltistan language and Islamic traditions. Immerse yourself in the exotic charm of this village, taking a leisurely walk and connecting with the locals. Return to Hunder Village for an overnight stay in camps or hotels.
Day 08: Begin the day with an early morning exploration of Diskit Monastery, marveling at the breathtaking vistas of Nubra Valley. Then embark on a scenic drive to Pangong Lake through Shayok, where the turquoise waters and majestic mountains will captivate your senses. Spend the night in a camp, immersed in the beauty of the surroundings.
Day 09: Following a leisurely brunch, we wander by the lakeside, immersing ourselves in the calming embrace of nature. Afterward, we journey back to Leh, stopping to explore Shey Palace and Thiksey Monastery along the way. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 10: Embark on your journey after a delightful breakfast, heading to the airport for your next destination. Soar away with cherished memories of Ladakh.
