Don’t miss the Hassan II Mosque; guided tours are available Saturday to Thursday at specific times, and Fridays at different times. Verify tour times with your hotel, and tickets are purchasable at the mosque.

Day 02: Enjoy a G Adventures-supported lunch, then head to the Roman ruins of Volubilis for a guided tour. Continue to Fès, a fascinating city. Explore on your own, and consider trying a traditional hammam or connecting with locals.

Day 03: Explore Fès medina, the world’s largest living medieval medina, with a local guide. Visit artisan quarters, try local treats, and view the famous leather tannery. Enjoy free time in the afternoon.

Day 04: Drive south to the desert, and enjoy a camel ride into the dunes for a sunset view. Return to the hotel for an evening of entertainment under the stars. Early start for a drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains to the Sahara. Settle into your desert hotel, take a camel ride into the dunes for a sunset experience, and enjoy a traditional dinner with campfire stories and music.

Day 05: Wake early for a sunrise view. After breakfast, travel to Todra Gorge through a stone desert. Nestled between towering cliffs, the gorge offers a green oasis with palm trees. Ideal for hiking, riverside relaxation, and trying local Amazigh (Berber) delicacies. Optionally explore the dunes or nearby communities on a land cruiser desert excursion, pre-bookable with your tour.

Day 06: Visit UNESCO-listed Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah. Opt for a tagine cooking class to explore Moroccan cuisine. Travel the “Route of 1000 Kasbahs” to Ouarzazate for lunch and visit Atlas Film Studios. Proceed to the beautiful Aït Ben Haddou, a captivating kasbah.

Day 07: Travel to Marrakech with stunning views via the High Atlas Mountains. Take a guided medina tour and consider visiting Djemaa el Fna Square in the evening. Enjoy the lively street performers and feast at the famous food stalls. Arrive in Marrakech for lunch, and have the rest of the day to explore the city.

Day 08: Depart at your convenience. Consider booking a Hot Air Balloon excursion for a sunrise view over Marrakech. Allow ample time for the activity when planning your onward journey.
