Day 01: Upon arrival at Bagdogra airport, our team will warmly greet you and accompany you to Darjeeling. After checking in at the hotel, you’ll have the rest of the day to relax and unwind. Enjoy your overnight stay in comfort.
Day 02: Before dawn, venture to Tiger Hills at an altitude of 8364 ft to witness the captivating sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (weather permitting). On the return journey, stop by Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. Following breakfast at your accommodation, embark on a full-day exploration of Darjeeling. Highlights include the Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursdays), Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sundays), and a Tea Estate. Conclude the day by returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 03: Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before heading to Kalimpong. Upon reaching your destination, settle in at your accommodation. Take some time to unwind before embarking on a sightseeing tour of Kalimpong. Begin by exploring Durpin Hill, home to the renowned Zong Dog Palri Fo-Brang Monastery, affiliated with the same Buddhist sect as the current Dalai Lama. Afterward, visit attractions like Jelapla View Point, Pine View Point, Chitra Bhanu, Kalim Temple, and Dr. Graham’s Homes Complex. Don’t miss Delo Hill, the highest point at 5556 ft, offering panoramic views of Kalimpong, majestic Mt. Kanchenjunga, surrounding villages, the Relli Valley, and the Teesta River. Return to your hotel in the evening for an overnight stay.
Day 04: Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before heading to Gangtok. Upon reaching, settle into your accommodation and take some time to unwind. Make your way to Tashi View Point for breathtaking vistas of the Kanchenjunga snow peaks on favorable weather days. Afterward, drive to explore Rumtek Monastery, a prominent religious site atop a hill about 23 km from Gangtok. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Spend the night at your hotel in Gangtok.
Day 05: Following breakfast at the hotel, embark on a full day of exploring Gangtok. Begin by visiting Hanuman Tok, a temple complex nestled in the highlands of Gangtok, devoted to Lord Hanuman and overseen by the Indian army. Explore Ganesh Tok, the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom (Closed on Sundays), Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sundays), Do Drul Chorten Monastery, and Banjhakri Falls and Energy Park. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in the evening.
Day 06: Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before heading to Phuentsholing, the gateway to Bhutan. Upon reaching Phuentsholing, settle into your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, free to engage in your activities. Spend the night comfortably at the hotel.
Day 07: Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before embarking on your journey to Thimphu. Once you arrive, settle in at your accommodation. Enjoy some time to relax before strolling through Thimphu’s bustling main street and market area in the evening. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 08: Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a journey to explore the wonders of Thimpu. Begin by immersing yourself in the spiritual ambiance of Pangri Zampa Monastery for an astrology session. Then, delve into the rich cultural heritage at the National Library, the Institute for Zorig Chusum (Painting School), the Textile Museum, and Simply Bhutan. Next, ascend to Changangkha Lhakhang, a majestic temple and monastic school overlooking Thimphu. Later, proceed to Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang) to pay homage to the colossal Buddha statue and admire the panoramic valley views. If time permits, visit the King’s Memorial Chorten, a revered site of continuous prayer and meditation. End your day with a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 09: Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before embarking on your journey to Punakha. Make a memorable stop at Dochula Pass (3100 meters) for a picturesque photo opportunity. Adorned with 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens, this pass was constructed by the queen’s mother in 2003, making it a significant landmark. Weather permitting, take in the breathtaking views of Bhutan’s highest mountains. Continue your drive to Punakha and settle into your hotel for some relaxation upon arrival. Later in the afternoon, explore the stunning Punakha Dzong, home to one of the country’s most intricate temples, showcasing Bhutanese arts and crafts. Follow this with a trek to Chimi Lhakhang, known as the temple of fertility, situated atop a hillock in the valley. Stroll through the nearby village to experience the authentic daily life of the villagers. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 10: Following breakfast, depart from the hotel for Paro, stopping en route at Wangdue Phodrang to explore Wangdue Dzong and the nearby market. Upon reaching Paro, settle into your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 11: Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, then embark on a thrilling hike to Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest. Perched on a sacred rock blessed by Guru Rinpoche in the 8th century, the monastery holds a legendary tale of the guru’s arrival on a tigress’ back to defeat a local demon. Take in the awe-inspiring views and create unforgettable memories as you trek for about 2 hours to reach this iconic site. Despite a fire destroying the main building in April 1998, it was restored to its former glory by 2001. Later in the day, explore Ta Dzong, now home to the National Museum, and visit Rinpung Dzong, Kichu Lhakhang, and Drukgyal Dzong. Your day ends with a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 12: Our representative will escort you to Paro Airport in the morning according to your flight schedule, ensuring a smooth transition for your journey homeward or to your next destination.
