Las Vegas - Sedona - Monument Valley
Day 01: Embark on today’s journey, venturing eastward through the desert and Death Valley, leading us to the renowned gaming hub, Las Vegas. Midday, a pit stop awaits at a discounted shopping haven near the Nevada state border, boasting brands like Levi’s, Nike, Reebok, Timberland, and more. As the sun sets, explore The Strip, marveling at iconic hotels like Caesar’s Palace, Mirage, Luxor, Paris, Mandalay Bay, New York New York, Treasure Island, and others. Dive into the nightlife with captivating shows or try your luck in the dazzling casinos—tonight, fortune might favor you!
Day 02: Following breakfast, our departure from Las Vegas is imminent as we embark on the journey to the Hoover Dam. There, we’ll delve into the fascinating construction process and explore its profound impact on the surroundings. Upon concluding our visit, we’ll head back to Las Vegas, embracing the afternoon for leisure and seizing the opportunity to indulge in the city’s myriad distinctive attractions and renowned shows.
Day 03: Embarking on our journey, we traverse the Mojave Desert towards the Colorado Plateau and the iconic Route 66, en route to Sedona – renowned as the “Jewel of the Desert” and hailed as one of North America’s most stunning locales. The awe-inspiring Oak Creek Canyon, with its 2000-foot descent, captivates us with vibrant red stones. Pause at Oak Creek Canyon viewpoints for picturesque moments. Our exploration includes Slide Rock State Park and a lunch break in Sedona, offering unique indigenous crafts and exclusive boutiques. Next, we venture into the desert to visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross, soaking in panoramic views of Sedona’s rock formations like Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte, and Cathedral Rock. As the sun sets, we bid farewell to Sedona, making our way to Flagstaff for an overnight stay.
Day 04: This morning, we embark on a journey to Monument Valley, an iconic symbol of the American West and a globally renowned, breathtaking destination. Nestled in the heart of the Navajo Nation, this park showcases arsenic stone masterpieces, soaring 400 to 100 feet high, surrounded by plateaus, bricks, bushes, and trees. Guided by Navajo locals in Jeep vehicles, we explore the valley, known as the mother of all landscapes. A delightful outdoor barbecue awaits us (included), and later, we venture to the Colorado River, concluding our day with a visit to the renowned Horseshoe Bend. As the sun sets, we reach Lake Powell/Page for our overnight stay.
Day 05: We start the day when the water runs through the rocks as described by the Navajos. We will tour the top of Antelope Canyon and visit the spectacular dunes created by wind, water, and sand. After this panoramic, we will return to Las Vegas via the Valley of Fire, named for the magnificent red sandstone formations, created by the quicksand and the dunes during the dinosaur era, more than 150 million years ago. We will arrive in Las Vegas at dusk.
